Take over a key role as a Director of Finance in the Finance department and be a part of this exciting adventure of never-ending growth and success. 

Role Description: 

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Finance will be responsible for the organization’s overall financial plans and the conduct of its relationship with suppliers, shareholders and the financial community and support the business strategy through effective management of the critical business processes and all the functions to ensure a robust, profitable and sustainable growing organization which meets the targets and objectives. This includes overseeing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with local and international financial and tax regulations, particularly those relevant to the UAE and DMCC.


What we expect from you:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, reporting, budgeting, controlling, financial analysis, cash flow management, and tax compliance
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines in the UAE, with a keen understanding of DMCC rules and regulations
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial records and regulations, accounting principles and reporting standards, financial policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal/external stakeholder requirements
  • Develop financial strategies that align with the company's growth and expansion plans
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous development
  • Monitor key financial indicators and provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance, trends, and potential areas of improvement to drive financial performance and control financial risk
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate financial projections and effective resource allocation
  • To work on periodic audits (internal & external) and ensure timely corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic business initiatives and improve financial and operational efficiency

What we are looking for:
 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s/MBA degree is an asset
  • At least 10 years of experience in finance, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles, preferably in the tech or startup-scale up environment
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with financial analysis, financial reporting, cash flow analysis, budget development, and forecasting as well as input to feasibility studies for business development
  • Design, automate, and optimize scalable Finance processes and systems
  • Knowledge of UAE and KSA international accounting standards, tax laws, financial regulations and budgeting, reporting
  • Being analytical, structured, and focused on results with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Effective communication and coordination, ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
  • Being an energetic, curious & collaborative individual who thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Excellent track record of building and leading high-performing Finance & Accounts teams
  • Being able to clearly understand the long-term goals and aspirations of the business and contributing to the strategic decision-making process 
  • Awareness of changes in the economic, social, and political environment likely to affect the job or the organization
  • Experience with BI tools would be beneficial
